How to Create the Best Winter Skincare Routine

The cold weather is here to stay and my skin hates it. I get patches of super dry, flakey skin on my nose and between my brows all winter long and working in a hospital, I am still wearing a mask all the time, which makes my chin break out pretty bad every couple of weeks. I’ve had to create a winter skincare routine that provides my skin with the moisture that it needs in this cold weather, while also treating the acne that I get from my mask. While it has not been an easy feat and it’s no where near perfect (my skin still has its “bad days”) these products have helped immensely.

The best part? They’re all on sale right now at Sephora!

Skincare for Winter Weather Collage

My must-have winter skincare products

Laneige Water Sleeping Mask

This mask is a must for everyone’s winter skincare routine. It’s perfect for nights when your skin needs a little extra love but you don’t have the extra time. You put this on like a super thick moisturizer and then leave it on overnight. You’ll wake up the next morning with super soft, glowing skin.

Tatcha Water Cream

I love this moisturizer because it is so light weight. An added bonus is the fresh scent. It’s perfect for the morning when you’ll be putting other products on over it. My makeup applies great over this and my dry patches love it.

Tatcha Rice Wash Cleanser

It’s important to still be washing away impurities even when you’re trying to preserve the moisture on your skin, but especially when you’re trying to combat breakouts. This cleanser is so gentle on the skin and doesn’t make your skin feel dried out after using it

Peter Thomas Roth Exfoliating Peel

Exfoliating dry, dead skin is key to combating breakouts and bringing back a glow to your skin. I like this exfoliating peel because it’s not harsh on sensitive skin like a physical exfoliant can be, but you can still feel the effects of it working after you wash it off. It’s just as quick and simple as a tradition exfoliator, there’s no waiting with it on your skin and you can see it working on your skin.

Peace Out Salicylic Acid Acne patches

These things are a lifesaver when I’m wearing a mask all day. They protect any bumps I have from any moisture moisture and bacteria that can’t air itself out like it would typically and it helps to pull oils from the area. I always notice that the size and redness in the area is significantly reduced when I wear these under my mask.

Fresh Sugar Lip Balm

My lips get so dry in the winter and the Fresh lip balms are some of my favorite. They have a range of light tints to them and I don’t find my self constantly needing to reapply. This cute little gift set lets you try out a couple to find your favorite and are the perfect size for throwing into any bag.
